Art on the River Exhibitions (www.artontheriver.co.uk) welcomes you to Eastbourne's premier ART Hotel. The da Vinci eastbourne - www.davinci.uk.com. is dedicated to raising the profile of the art work by local professional artists. On-going changing exhibitions are located in the refurbished spacious reception rooms where Victorian elegance meets the 21st century - Tall ceilings, white walls, and bursting with natural light.

The exhibition "UNWRAPPED MK II" is in celebration of the opening of a further four bedrooms dedicated to Joan Miro, John Miller, and local resident artists Elda Abramson and Mary Beaney (da Vinci's Art Director - unpaid).

Sue Barnes, a recent graduate of Brighton University, is the featured artist - her stunning 4' x 4' pieces and her 'babies' cover 3 huge walls - Sue's work is primarily drawn from the South Downs. She exploits the physicality of paint - pouring, dribbling, rubbing through the layers, looking for the marks that grow naturally out of her work - the marks that we leave on the landscape to show we have been there before.. Also showing with Sue are resident artists - Mary Beaney's inspirational and vibrant flower paintings and tonal canvasses; There is more.........much more...........paintings/mixed media and sumptious watercolours by Kate Sayers; stoneware garden ceramics galore from Julie Snowball and magical wildlife photography by Adam Beaney.

This versatile exhibition "UNWRAPPED MK II", in the heart of Eastbourne's theatreland, is one not to be missed - so..........see you there - you know it makes sense and you certainly won't be disappointed!!!
